For 38 years, City School has offered an academic program for the creative, motivated and socially-minded student. Our focus is ethical citizenship, especially in the context of the environment.

Despite our small size, we offer numerous semestered courses in the Humanities, Mathematics, Arts, and Sciences for students that are planning to pursue post-secondary education. Our courses are enriched by field trips, guest speakers and experiential learning opportunities.

Our on-site staff consists of seven fulltime teachers and an Office Adminsitrator. We also have a part-time Social Worker and an Itinerant Special Education Resource Teacher (IRT), both of whom spend one day per week at the school.

City School is located in a Ministry-designated Community Hub, sharing its building with a pre-school, daycare, elementary school, and community centre. In addition to spacious classrooms, a library and general meeting room, students have access to a large gym, basketball court, dance studio, and cafe.

Nearby Ireland Park (pictured), Norway Park and Billy Bishop Airport evoke the history of our neighbourhood, while the Martin Goodman Trail represents the present - ours is a pedestrian and bike-friendly community.
